Our Story
The Forensic CPA Society
Founded by Donna Larsen on July 15, 2005, the Forensic CPA Society Inc. was created to meet the growing need for specialized expertise in forensic accounting.
At the time, no global certification existed specifically for CPAs in this field, despite increasing public awareness and interest sparked by major financial scandals such as WorldCom, Enron, and Arthur Andersen. These events highlighted the urgent need for professionals trained in uncovering financial fraud and misconduct.
In recognition of this need, the Society created a rigorous certification program, the Forensic CPA (Forensic Certified Public Accountant), designed to promote excellence and uphold high standards in forensic accounting.
Today, the FCPA credential is held by 766 professionals across 37 countries. The designation not only enhances the credibility of the professionals who earn it but also signals to the public and the business community that the holder possesses specialized skills in forensic investigations and financial integrity.
