FCPA Experienced Professional Pathway
Charter Statement
The Forensic CPA Society recognizes the diverse pathways through which professionals have contributed to the advancement of forensic accounting, auditing, compliance, and fraud investigation globally. To honor these contributions and ensure inclusivity, the Society establishes this FCPA Experienced Professional Pathway , Forensic Certified Public Accountant as a transitional mechanism to credential qualified professionals into membership, based on prior education, professional qualifications, and experience.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate the following:
- Foundational Qualification
- A globally recognized accounting designation (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA, CMA, CGMA, ACA, CIPFA, CPA Canada, CPA Australia, CA ANZ, CA India, CA Pakistan, CA Sri Lanka, CPA Philippines, CPA Japan, CPA China, SAICA CA, CPA Kenya/Nigeria/Ghana)
- OR a postgraduate degree in accounting (MSc Accounting or MBA in Accounting).
- Specialized Qualification (at least one required)
- Auditing – CIA, CISA, CRMA
- Fraud Examination/Investigation – CFE, CFI, CFCS, Diploma in Fraud Investigation
- Forensic Accounting – CPFAcct, EduQual UK Forensic Accounting & Fraud Detection, Chartered Accountant with Forensic Specialization
- Professional Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in auditing, investigations, compliance, AML, forensic accounting, or anti-fraud roles.
Programme Features
- Application Fee: US$500 (one-time, non-refundable, for credential validation).
- Annual Membership Dues: Payable separately, due January 1 each year.
- Limited Window: Programme runs March 15 – June 30, 2026.
- Credential Recognition: Successful applicants will be formally credentialed as members under the FCPA Experienced Professional Pathway, with full rights and responsibilities.
Documentation Requirements
Applicants must submit:
- Proof of Education
- Degrees, diplomas, transcripts, or evidence of professional courses.
- Professional Experience
- Résumé/CV with forensic, auditing, or investigative highlights.
- Employer verification letters.
- Case summaries or project reports.
- Professional Memberships & Licenses
- Copies of accounting designations.
- Membership certificates from recognized bodies.
- References
- Two letters of recommendation from senior professionals, supervisors, or clients.
- Ethics & Conduct
- Signed Code of Ethics agreement.
- Disclosure of disciplinary history (if any).
- Application Form & Fees
Completed the application form, and Payment of $500 fee.
Policy Guidelines
- Transparency: All applications will be reviewed by the Membership Committee under strict confidentiality.
- Verification: Credentials will be validated against issuing bodies and employers.
- Non-Transferability: Grandfather status applies only to the individual applicant and cannot be transferred.
- Appeals: Applicants denied entry may appeal within 30 days, providing additional documentation.
- Ethics Compliance: Members admitted under this programme must adhere to the Society’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
- Closure: After June 30, 2026, no further applications will be accepted under this programme.
Governance & Oversight
- The Membership Committee will oversee application reviews.
- The Board of Governors will ratify final admissions.
- Annual reporting will disclose the number of members admitted under the Grandfather Programme, ensuring transparency and accountability.
